FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) (WMCO)

1. What is the Warrior Masterclass Online?

The Warrior Masterclass Online (WMCO) is an online screen combat training system which teaches you how to perform choreographed fight sequences realistically to camera. It teaches both armed and unarmed systems of combat.

2. Can I train alone or do I need a partner?

You can learn and practice all the WMCO techniques and routines on your own, however, the routines are designed to be performed in pairs or groups. To fully understand Screen Combat and make sure all of the techniques are working to the camera, you will need to practice with others.

3. Is the WMCO a Pass or Fail course?

The WMCO has been created to allow anyone to learn and progress through and enjoy the course at their own pace, so you cannot fail.

However, when a student can perform all of the performance chapter routines to level number 4, they will have met the WMCO pass standard. When a student can perform all the routines with the same energy and tempo as demonstrated in the showcase videos, they have met the WMCO level 5 advanced standard.

4. How long will the WMCO take to complete?

The WMCO has no time limit and every student will progress at different speeds. We feel that even if you are already an experienced screen combatant, it should still take you several months of training to perform all of the routines to the level 4 pass standard and even more time and dedication to meet the level 5 advanced standard.

5. How much is the WMCO?

The WMCO costs £399.00 for unlimited use and can also be paid with an instalment plan.

6. Can anyone participate in the WMCO?

Yes, as long as you are fit, healthy and free from any injuries you can participate in the course.

7. What level of fitness do I need to have to do the WMCO?

You only need to have a basic fitness level to take on the course and as you progress you should find your fitness will improve!

8. How old must I be to do the WMCO?

You must be over 18 years of age to purchase and participate in the WMCO, however those under the age of 18 can do the course, as long as they are supervised by a parent or adult who is over 18 years of age.

9. How does the WMCO teach screen combat?

The WMCO teaches through numerous video tutorials and by watching and following the demonstration videos. You will then need to practice by following the demonstration videos.

10. Where can I practice?

You can practice the WMCO anywhere (indoors and outdoors) that you have legal access or permission to use, that has adequate space and is free of any hazards.

11. What clothing/equipment do I need for the course?

You will require loose fitting clothing and supportive footwear. You will also need safety glasses/goggles and gloves when training with weapons. You will also require training/prop weapons which should be of a similar size and length to the ones used in the teaching video demonstrations.

12. Can I do the course if I have a disability?

This will depend on your disability. If you feel that you are able to safely perform some of the techniques seen in the WMCO trailer, then you should be okay to participate in the course.

13. Does the WMCO course have an age limit?

The WMCO has no age limit, as long as you are healthy and have a basic level of fitness.

14. Is there a certificate or a qualification for completing the WMCO?

When you feel you can perform all the chapter routines to the level 4 standard, you have met the pass standard of the course and can proudly unlock your WMCO certificate of achievement, however this is not a recognised Screen Combat qualification as the training is not overseen and evaluated by a BRITISH ACTION ACADEMY qualified Instructor.

15. Can I get hurt from doing the WMCO/is the WMCO dangerous?

Accidents do occur within Screen Combat, however if you wear protective goggles and gloves and practice first in slow motion this will minimise the risk.

16. Where can I purchase training weapons from?

All weapons and protective equipment required for the course can be purchased from our online store.
